Abstract:
Against the backdrop of increasingly stringent global environmental protection requirements and carbon emission restriction policies, carbon tariffs have emerged as a significant factor affecting export enterprises in international trade. This study aims to explore the impact of carbon tariffs on the green transformation of export enterprises and the pressure transmission mechanism involved. Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, this paper constructs a comprehensive analytical framework that encompasses the internal decision-making processes of export enterprises, changes in international market demand, and adjustments in domestic and foreign policies. The results indicate that carbon tariffs significantly increase the operating costs of export enterprises, compelling them to accelerate the application of green technological innovations and environmental protection standards. Additionally, the rising demand for green products in the international market and the convergence of domestic and foreign environmental protection policies have also created external impetus for the green transformation of these enterprises. The research demonstrates that government policy support, particularly fiscal and tax incentives as well as funding for technological innovation, has a notable effect in alleviating the transformation pressure on export enterprises. This study provides empirical references and policy recommendations for export enterprises to cope with changes in the international trade environment and achieve green and sustainable development.
