Abstract: There are different opinions and definitions in the industry regarding mentors and coaches. The European Mentors and Coaches Association (EMCC) defines mentorship as a learning relationship where mentors and mentees share skills, knowledge, and professional expertise through developmental dialogue, experience sharing, and role model demonstrations. This relationship may cover a wide range of contexts and is an inclusive two-way partnership for mutual learning and valuing differences. Based on this, EMCC believes that coaches and mentors have many similarities or similarities in structured continuous dialogue. This article is based on the practice of talent development mentor projects provided by the author to multiple enterprises in recent years. It analyzes the application and value of mentors and coaches in key talent development projects of enterprises, explores how enterprise talent development mentor projects can truly improve enterprise performance, and explores more possibilities through this.
