Objective: To explore the optimization of fermentation conditions for Bacillus subtilis and the promoting effects of various components in the fermentation broth on rice growth. Method: Single factor conditional screening and orthogonal optimization were used to determine the optimal culture medium for liquid fermentation of Bacillus subtilis. The fermentation broth of Bacillus subtilis was applied to rice, and the effects of various components on rice growth were compared. The results showed that the most suitable fermentation medium for Bacillus subtilis was 7.5 g/L of molasses, 10 g/L of peptone, and 10 g/L of KH2PO4. The Bacillus subtilis fermentation broth had a promoting effect on wheat growth, and different components and concentrations of Bacillus subtilis fermentation broth had different effects on wheat. The lipopeptides extracted from the fermentation broth of Bacillus subtilis have a promoting effect on the growth of rice. Conclusion: The lipopeptides produced by Bacillus subtilis fermentation broth have a certain promoting effect on plant growth, but further exploration is needed on other substances that promote plant growth in Bacillus subtilis fermentation broth, as well as their mechanisms of action.
